Screen time, quality time

Let's make screen time quality time, together

School of Gaming is Westgate Academy's official after-school activity provider. Our Playful Learning Method combines the freedom of play with a clear pedagogic goal, so children build digital citizenship and 21st-century skills in practice.

๐ŸŽฎ

Active participation

Children are active players, not passive bystanders. Through practical challenges they learn to make good choices and understand the consequences of their actions in a safe space.

โค๏ธ

Genuine commitment

Kids are motivated because we meet them in their favourite environment. Learning happens without force, guided by their own curiosity and interests.

๐ŸŒŸ

Real purpose

Children build digital literacy in a natural, motivating world. They stop fearing mistakes and grow resilience every time they try again after failing.

Learning by gaming

Our books are pixels and bits

Libraries use books to help children learn to read. Our books are pixels and bits. We use the games children already love to teach real digital-literacy skills, meeting them where they most want to be.

Adult-led, adventurous and story-driven sessions turn everyday gaming into genuine, guided learning.
